The Israel Hayom newspaper reported, citing a source, that the ceasefire between Iran and the United States will end within the next few days, after which the United States will carry out a large-scale attack on Iran that will be more intense than previous strikes.
According to the report, the attack would continue for several days before the military operation against Iran is concluded.
The source said the only factor that could prevent the attack is if Iran significantly adjusts its position on its nuclear program.
However, at present, he added, all indications suggest that decision-makers in Iran are not willing to make any compromise.
The U.S. president had previously threatened that if Iran refused to reach an agreement, the country’s power plants and bridges would be destroyed.
A Western diplomat told Israel Hayom that Trump refrained from bombing Iran’s energy infrastructure because such a move could affect global oil prices.
The report added: “Another U.S. and Israeli attack on Iran, focusing on national infrastructure, appears inevitable unless something unexpected happens.”
