Deeyar TV is an independent Afghan media initiative in exile, established in response to the collapse of press freedom and the systematic repression of freedom of expression in Afghanistan.
Its mission is to preserve an independent Afghan media presence, defend the public’s right to information, and provide public-interest coverage of Afghanistan’s political, social, and humanitarian realities. At a time when many voices inside the country have been silenced, Deeyar TV seeks to keep the space for public debate alive and to ensure that the experiences, concerns, and aspirations of the Afghan people remain visible.
Deeyar TV is guided by the principles of editorial independence, responsible journalism, human dignity, and democratic values. It is committed to providing accurate, responsible, and accessible information to Afghan audiences, while giving particular attention to the voices of women, vulnerable communities, and those excluded from public discourse.
Deeyar TV does not regard its work as merely a media activity, but as a civic and journalistic responsibility: to help safeguard freedom of expression and to uphold the right of the Afghan people to be seen, heard, and informed.
