The name “Deeyar TV” is a registered trademark in the French Republic with the National Institute of Industrial Property (INPI), under national registration number 25 5184836, registered on September 30, 2025, under the Nice Classification, in Classes 38 and 41.

Deeyar TV emerged in the aftermath of the collapse of Afghanistan’s media achievements and the dismantling of its freedom of expression structures. It was founded by Yaser Abrar, Weera Venus, and a small group of Afghan journalists in exile to serve as an independent and professional visual platform for documenting and presenting the realities of the country, an outlet whose fundamental mission is to safeguard the public’s right to information and free expression.

The non-profit character of Deeyar TV lies at the core of its organizational identity. Its resources are sustained through the professional commitment of its founders and journalists, and no political body, commercial actor, or external stakeholder plays any role in its editorial decisions or direction. This enduring independence enables responsible, impartial journalism aligned with international standards.

With a network of reporters inside Afghanistan operating through secure communication tools, alongside correspondents across multiple countries, Deeyar TV delivers precise and well-documented coverage of Afghanistan’s political, social, and humanitarian developments. Grounded in truth, human dignity, and democratic principles, it strives to amplify the voices of citizens, especially women and marginalized communities, and to preserve their stories within the global public record.

Deeyar TV regards itself not merely as a media outlet, but as a shared responsibility to defend freedom of expression, an undertaking established to uphold the right of the people of Afghanistan to be seen and heard.
