The United Arab Emirates has banned its citizens from traveling to Iran, Lebanon, and Iraq, and has urged Emiratis currently in these countries to leave immediately.

The UAE Ministry of Foreign Affairs announced on Thursday that this travel ban is part of precautionary measures amid ongoing tensions across the Middle East.

The ministry called on Emiratis residing in Iran, Lebanon, and Iraq to return as soon as possible and to follow official travel procedures.

This decision comes at a time when the region is experiencing a period of instability and rising tensions.

Iran is a main party in the conflict, and groups in Lebanon and Iraq have joined the fighting following the joint campaign by Israel and the United States against Iran.

The travel ban reflects the UAE’s concerns about the potential resumption of hostilities.

The UAE normalized relations with Israel in 2020 under the Abraham Accords while maintaining diplomatic ties with Iran.

According to reports, most of Iran’s attacks in the recent war targeted the United Arab Emirates.
