Iranian media reported that armed individuals opened fire on a police patrol in Sistan and Baluchestan province a few hours ago, killing three police officers.
According to reports, the officers were “providing security for civilians” when they came under attack.
Iranian media said efforts are ongoing to arrest those responsible for the attack.
No group has yet claimed responsibility for the incident.
