Health officials in Gaza said that yesterday (Wednesday, November 19), 25 people were killed in four Israeli airstrikes targeting areas of Gaza currently under Hamas control.

Doctors reported that 10 people were killed in the “Zeitoun” neighborhood of Gaza City, two in “Shuja’iyya,” and the rest in Khan Younis in southern Gaza.

According to Palestinian media and eyewitnesses, all four strikes occurred well beyond the “yellow line,” the boundary Israeli forces are instructed not to advance past.

The Israeli military said that after being attacked by Hamas fighters, it was forced to strike “the group’s positions” across Gaza.

No Israeli soldiers were harmed in these incidents.

Hamas, in a statement condemning the attacks, called on the United States to uphold its commitments and immediately compel Israel to respect the ceasefire.

A U.S. official, speaking on condition of anonymity, said that Hamas is seeking to “break the ceasefire” and has failed to meet its obligations to disarm.

Hamas and Israel accuse each other of violating the ceasefire each time hostilities resume.

This ceasefire is the first phase of Trump’s 20-point plan for Gaza.

Following the ceasefire, displaced residents began returning home, Israeli forces withdrew, and the flow of aid into famine-threatened Gaza increased.

However, violence has not stopped. Palestinian health officials say that since the ceasefire was enacted, Israeli forces have killed 305 people in their strikes on Gaza.

Israel says three of its soldiers have been killed since the ceasefire began.
