Pakistan Radio reported yesterday, citing security sources, that the Pakistan Army, in a “retaliatory action,” targeted several Afghan Taliban checkpoints along the Durand Line.
Pakistani media said that Afghan Taliban forces and the TTP opened fire on Pakistani positions “unprovoked aggression,” which prompted a response from Pakistani forces. As a result, Taliban positions near Chaman, “Sarshan,” “Al-Marjan,” and “Edhi” were targeted and “destroyed.”
Security sources told Pakistani media that a Taliban military vehicle was also “destroyed” in the strikes.
Pakistani officials said that operations against Afghanistan will continue until all objectives of what they called “Operation Ghazab Lil Haq” are fully achieved.
