The National Radio and Television, which is under Taliban control, reported that around 2:00 p.m. yesterday (27 April), the third district of Kunar province was hit by an airstrike.
According to the report, several civilian homes were targeted in the attack, and a number of children were taken to hospital.
The exact number of casualties is not clear, and the Taliban has not yet officially commented on the incident.
On Sunday, Taliban and Pakistani forces clashed along the Durand Line, and Pakistani media claimed that three people were injured in a Taliban attack.
Reports said that Pakistani forces “destroyed” Taliban positions involved in the attack.
This comes as China previously announced that the Taliban and Pakistan agreed during talks in Urumqi not to escalate tensions.
