The Taliban’s Supreme Court said the group’s forces flogged 14 people in Farah province on Thursday (April 16).
The individuals were lashed 20 to 39 times in Bala Buluk district on charges of same-sex relations, a sentence carried out after approval by the Taliban’s Supreme Court.
Taliban figures show that since March 2026, the group has flogged 1,262 people across the country.
The use of corporal punishment by the Taliban has drawn widespread criticism, with international organizations and several countries previously calling for it to be halted.
