The Taliban said it had discovered and seized 30 pistols in Dand Patan district of Paktia province, which had been skillfully hidden inside a Saracha vehicle.
The Taliban’s 203 Mansoori Corps said in a statement this morning that the weapons had been smuggled into the country from Pakistan.
According to the statement, Taliban forces searched the vehicle based on prior intelligence and found the weapons.
The statement added that the vehicle was impounded and two “smugglers” were arrested.
The Taliban had previously reported the discovery and seizure of weapons smuggled from Pakistan.
