Mohammad Sadiq, Pakistan’s special representative for Afghanistan, met with Gilles Bertrand, the European Union’s special envoy for Afghanistan.
According to Sadiq, the two sides discussed the political and security situation in the region, with particular attention given to terrorism-related threats.
Sadiq added that the meeting reaffirmed the importance of coordination in engagement and consultations.
Pakistan has repeatedly complained about “terrorism in Afghanistan” and says it has suffered significant casualties and losses as a result.
Islamabad accuses the Taliban of providing safe havens to militants who carry out attacks against Pakistan.
