The Taliban-run Public Health Department in Balkh has reported that 186 traffic accidents occurred in the province during the four-day Eid al-Fitr holidays.
According to Radio Police, a media outlet affiliated with the Taliban Ministry of Interior, 10 people lost their lives in these accidents, and several others were injured.
Radio Police added that some of the injured were taken to public hospitals, while the rest were transferred to private facilities.
Driver negligence has been cited as the main cause of these incidents.
