Mohammad Khalid Hanafi, the Taliban’s Minister for the Propagation of Virtue and the Prevention of Vice Ministry says that certain “circles and neighboring countries” are trying to advance “foreign projects” and harm the Taliban regime.

He stated that defending this regime is the “legitimate right” of the people of Afghanistan and emphasized that the “enemies” will never achieve their goals.

Earlier, Muhammad Yaqoob Mujahid had said that the Taliban has precise information that Pakistan is attempting to equip opponents of the group and send them into Afghanistan. The Taliban’s defense minister said that Pakistani officials have been in contact with the group’s opponents and have asked them to go to Pakistan.

Khalid Hanafi, speaking on the first day of Eid al-Fitr at the central mosque of Laghman province, said that the people of the province played a significant role in the “jihad” and made many sacrifices. In his speech, the text of which was released yesterday, he stressed the importance of unity and said that all people must unite and follow the orders of Hibatullah in order to strengthen the Taliban regime. He once again emphasized that efforts to collapse the Taliban regime will fail.

At the end of his speech, the Taliban’s Minister for the Propagation of Virtue and the Prevention of Vice stressed the observance of hijab and other “Islamic values” and described the prevention of “immorality” as the responsibility of all Muslims.
