Ahmed Sharif Chaudhry, spokesperson for the Pakistani military, stated that the Taliban in Afghanistan are providing operational bases to India’s proxies.

He added that in 2025, Afghanistan has become a terrorist operational hub for the entire region, and Pakistan’s stance on this issue has been accepted by the international community.

Chaudhry stated that last year, 5,397 terrorist incidents occurred in Pakistan, with 1,811 of them in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa and 1,557 in Balochistan.

According to Ahmed Sharif Chaudhry, Pakistani forces carried out 75,175 intelligence-driven operations in 2025, including 14,658 in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa and 58,778 in Balochistan.

The military spokesperson said that 2,597 militants were killed in these operations, 1,803 of them in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa.

He added that U.S. military equipment worth $7.2 billion abandoned in Afghanistan is now in the hands of the Taliban and “all terrorist groups,” and is also accessible on the black market. Chaudhry said this equipment includes night-vision devices, sniper rifles, bulletproof vests, and other critical weapons.
