China and Pakistan have agreed to work with the international community to encourage the Taliban to establish an inclusive political framework, adopt moderate policies, focus on development, and pursue positive relations with neighboring countries.

The foreign ministers of China and Pakistan, in a joint statement, said they had agreed to maintain close coordination on Afghanistan.

The statement said the two countries would work with the international community to encourage the Taliban to play a constructive role in helping Afghanistan achieve sustainable development and integrate into the global community.

Both sides called for further concrete and verifiable measures to eliminate all “terrorist groups based in Afghanistan” that continue to pose serious threats to regional and global security.

China and Pakistan urged the Taliban to prevent such groups from using Afghan territory to launch attacks against other countries.

They also expressed their readiness to continue leveraging the trilateral dialogue between the foreign ministers of China, the Taliban, and Pakistan to “achieve new results.”

China and Pakistan have repeatedly called for the formation of an inclusive government in Afghanistan a country that the Taliban currently control entirely, leaving no space for opposition or critics.

This demand reflects the position of most foreign countries, as experts argue that a stable and lasting Afghanistan can only be ensured through the participation of all political, ethnic, and religious groups in the country’s governance.
