The Taliban’s National Statistics and Information Authority reported that so far, 17,068,000 Afghan citizens have received electronic ID cards.

According to the report, the majority of electronic ID recipients 10,621,000 are men, while the remaining 6,447,000 are women.

The Taliban’s National Statistics and Information Authority added that more than 11 million electronic ID cards have been distributed to Afghan citizens since the group came to power.

The report noted that these ID cards have been primarily issued in the provinces of Kabul, Herat, Kandahar, Balkh, and Nangarhar.

Currently, 81 service and ID distribution centers are operating across Afghanistan. In addition, one service center in the United Arab Emirates remains active, providing daily services to both male and female applicants, according to the Taliban.
