According to him, the injured were transferred to the Samangan Provincial Hospital for treatment.
The cause of the incident has not yet been determined.
Dozens of people are killed and injured in traffic incidents across Afghanistan every week.
The United Nations Human Settlements Program (UN-Habitat) in Afghanistan recently stated in a note that traffic incidents are among the leading causes of death in Afghanistan. According to the agency, such incidents are entirely preventable.
Based on the note, “safer cities for all” can be built by improving road design, prioritizing pedestrian safety, and reducing vehicle speeds.
