The Freedom Front has claimed that it attacked Taliban forces in Kabul on Wednesday night, killing three of them.
According to a statement by the group, the attack took place at around 9:00 p.m. (1 April) at a Taliban checkpoint in the Sarai Shamali area of Kabul.
The statement added that two other Taliban fighters were wounded in the attack, while no members of the Freedom Front were harmed.
The Freedom Front is one of several groups active against the Taliban in Afghanistan, seeking to overthrow the group’s regime.
However, reports by the UN Secretary-General indicate that these groups have not posed a serious threat to the Taliban in recent years.
