The news network CNN-News18 has reported, citing senior Taliban officials, that the group is preparing to send a message to the world against Pakistan.
According to the sources, in this message, the Taliban will tell the United Nations and countries such as the U.S., Russia, and China that Pakistan “supports” terrorism, exerts economic pressure on Afghanistan, and has violated the human rights of Afghan citizens and refugees.
A senior source from the Taliban’s Foreign Ministry stated that officials from the group’s Foreign and Interior Ministries have jointly drafted the message, which is expected to be sent to regional and global powers after final approval by Hibatullah.
The Indian media outlet CNN-News18 wrote that in the message, the Taliban claims that Pakistan has become a “hub for facilitating terrorist activities.” The group will also claim that Pakistan has nurtured ISIS elements in the Balochistan province and is using them to “destabilize neighboring countries, including Afghanistan, India, and Iran.” The Taliban asserts that it possesses “strong evidence” to substantiate these accusations.
According to the report, the Taliban also alleges that Pakistani intelligence agencies provide logistical and financial support to ISIS and other similar groups, which are blamed for the rising wave of violence and insecurity across the region.
The report notes that despite these fierce accusations, the Taliban emphasized its continued readiness to cooperate with Pakistan on various issues.
In its message, the Taliban will strongly criticize Pakistan’s treatment of Afghan refugees, labeling it as “inhumane.” The group will accuse Pakistan of closing border crossings without due justification.
The draft message states that Pakistan has effectively placed Afghanistan under an “economic siege” by blocking the landlocked country’s access to India.
Taliban officials told CNN-News18 that the message will also be sent to the European Union, Iran, India, Qatar, Turkey, Saudi Arabia, the UAE, Central Asian countries, and several Islamic and Arab states.
The Taliban has not yet officially commented on the matter.
