Mustaghfir Gurbez, spokesperson for the Taliban in Khost, says that about 80,000 people participated in the execution ceremony of one person in this province
He added that the individual on whom the verdict of ‘Qisas’ (retaliation in kind) was carried out had mysteriously killed 13 members of one family in the Ali Shero and Terezio districts about ten months ago.
This is while the Taliban’s Supreme Court stated in a declaration that the aforementioned individual had killed only one person with a Kalashnikov.
The Taliban has provided fragmented and unclear information about this case.
Gurbez, quoting one of the Taliban Supreme Court officials, wrote that three individuals were involved in the case of killing 13 members of one family, and the execution of the two other individuals has been postponed to the future due to the ‘absence of heirs’ (of the victims).
Since coming to power in Afghanistan, the Taliban has executed 11 people.
