{"id":39533,"date":"2026-04-25T07:04:18","date_gmt":"2026-04-25T02:34:18","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/deeyartelevision.com\/en\/?p=39533"},"modified":"2026-04-25T07:04:19","modified_gmt":"2026-04-25T02:34:19","slug":"taliban-official-we-came-to-power-through-religious-schools","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/deeyartelevision.com\/en\/39533\/","title":{"rendered":"Taliban Official: We Came to Power Through Religious Schools"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p><strong>Juma Khan Fateh, the Taliban\u2019s deputy governor in Zabul, said the group came to power \u201cthanks to\u201d religious schools, stressing that most Taliban officials are now religious scholars.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>He added that he has a special interest in religious schools and is committed to serving them.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The Taliban lacks both domestic and international legitimacy and has been accused of using religious schools instrumentally to gain a degree of legitimacy.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>During a visit to the \u201cSiraj-ul-Uloom\u201d madrassa in Shajoy district of Zabul province, Fateh said: \u201cThe country\u2019s liberation was achieved through the blessings of religious schools, and these schools play an important role in reforming society and strengthening the system (the Taliban regime).\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>He added that those educated in religious schools \u201cheld the front lines under difficult conditions\u201d during the war against the international coalition and the former republic government and made \u201cmany sacrifices.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Critics believe that religious schools in Afghanistan are largely under Taliban control and that the group uses these institutions to promote its ideology.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Taliban officials consistently emphasize the role of religious schools in Afghanistan.
