He said: \u201cThe most important issue is that Iran does not have nuclear weapons. Iran cannot be allowed to obtain nuclear weapons, and this takes priority over everything else.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>He said the United States will continue its blockade of Iranian ports.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The war involving the United States and Israel against Iran, which began on Feb. 27, 2026, has left thousands dead across several countries.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The conflict has effectively led to the closure of the Strait of Hormuz\u2014through which around 20% of the world\u2019s oil previously passed\u2014resulting in a sharp rise in global oil prices.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Mohammad Bagher Ghalibaf, speaker of Iran\u2019s parliament, said that if the U.S. blockade continues, \u201cthe Strait of Hormuz will not remain open.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The U.S. president said the country will remove Iran\u2019s enriched uranium stockpiles, while Iran\u2019s Foreign Ministry has said the material will not be transferred anywhere.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Donald Trump, the U.S. president, said hours ago that he has good news regarding Iran, adding that if no agreement is reached by Wednesday, the ceasefire with Tehran may not be extended.
