Pakistan\u2019s army chief visited Tehran on Wednesday  to convey Washington\u2019s message and discuss upcoming negotiations with Iranian officials.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>A senior Iranian source told Reuters that General Munir is trying to bridge the gap between the two sides.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The White House has referred to Pakistan as the \u201csole mediator\u201d and said that if a new round of US\u2013Iran talks takes place, they will be held in Islamabad.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The first round of Tehran\u2013Washington negotiations was held in Islamabad but ended without any agreement.
