{"id":39113,"date":"2026-04-02T16:31:36","date_gmt":"2026-04-02T12:01:36","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/deeyartelevision.com\/en\/?p=39113"},"modified":"2026-04-02T16:31:38","modified_gmt":"2026-04-02T12:01:38","slug":"taliban-flog-19-people-in-nimroz-balkh-and-ghor","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/deeyartelevision.com\/en\/39113\/","title":{"rendered":"Taliban Flog 19 People in Nimroz, Balkh, and Ghor"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>The Taliban\u2019s Supreme Court said the group\u2019s forces flogged 19 people today April 2, in the provinces of Nimroz, Balkh, and Ghor.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">A Taliban primary court in Nimroz sentenced 17 people to between five months and eight years in prison on charges of beating their father, engaging in \u201cillicit relations,\u201d theft, and same-sex relations.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">They were also sentenced to 15 to 39 lashes, a punishment carried out after being approved by the Taliban\u2019s Supreme Court, in the presence of local officials.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">On the same day, one person in Shortepa district of Balkh province, who had been sentenced to 30 lashes and two years in prison on charges of same-sex relations, was flogged.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The Taliban\u2019s Supreme Court also said that in Ghor, the group\u2019s forces flogged a woman with 10 lashes on charges of \u201cmoral corruption.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>The Taliban\u2019s Supreme Court said the group\u2019s forces flogged 19 people today April 2, in the provinces of Nimroz, Balkh, and Ghor.
