{"id":38539,"date":"2026-01-02T04:54:03","date_gmt":"2026-01-02T00:24:03","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/deeyartelevision.com\/en\/?p=38539"},"modified":"2026-01-02T04:54:05","modified_gmt":"2026-01-02T00:24:05","slug":"taliban-call-for-iran-china-railway-project-to-begin-construction-through-afghanistan","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/deeyartelevision.com\/en\/38539\/","title":{"rendered":"Taliban Call for Iran-China Railway Project to Begin Construction Through Afghanistan"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>Abdul Ghani Baradar, the Taliban\u2019s deputy prime minister for economic affairs, called for the immediate commencement of the Iran\u2013China railway project through Afghanistan during a meeting with the head of Iran\u2019s railway administration in Kabul.<br><\/strong><br>The Taliban\u2019s Office of the Deputy Prime Minister for Economic Affairs stated in a press release that Jabbar Ali Zakri, head of Iran\u2019s railway administration, told Abdul Ghani Baradar that Iran is interested in extending its railway through Afghanistan to China, using Afghanistan\u2019s strategic location to connect China with Europe.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Baradar noted that he had discussed the economic value and significance of the project with Iran\u2019s vice president three years ago and had provided detailed information on its potential benefits.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Both Baradar and Zakri called for the formation of a joint committee to advance the project.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Previously, the Taliban, Iran, and Turkey agreed on the construction of the Herat\u2013Mazar-i-Sharif railway.
