{"id":37956,"date":"2025-12-03T04:49:25","date_gmt":"2025-12-03T00:19:25","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/deeyartelevision.com\/en\/?p=37956"},"modified":"2025-12-03T04:49:27","modified_gmt":"2025-12-03T00:19:27","slug":"taliban-executes-one-person-in-khost","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/deeyartelevision.com\/en\/37956\/","title":{"rendered":"Taliban Executes One Person in Khost"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>The Taliban&#8217;s Supreme Court announced that the group&#8217;s forces executed one person today (Tuesday, December 2nd) at the sports club in the center of Khost province<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The Taliban &#8220;executed&#8221; the individual, who was accused of the &#8220;premeditated murder&#8221; of a person named Abdul Rahman, a native resident of Khost province.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The Taliban&#8217;s Supreme Court said in a statement that the case had been thoroughly and repeatedly reviewed by the group&#8217;s Primary, Appeals, and High (Tameez) Courts, as well as by Hibatullah Akhundzada.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">According to the statement, the victim&#8217;s family did not accept the offer of peace and forgiveness, and the execution verdict for the accused was ultimately issued.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Taliban officials and a number of Khost residents were present at the execution ceremony.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The Taliban&#8217;s Supreme Court said that Hibatullah had ordered two other individuals to also be executed, but the sentence was postponed because the victims&#8217; family members live abroad.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Richard Bennett, the United Nations Special Rapporteur on Human Rights in Afghanistan, called for a halt to public executions by the Taliban in response to the execution in Khost.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Bennett said that executing individuals in public view is an &#8220;inhumane and cruel&#8221; act and is contrary to international law.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>The Taliban&#8217;s Supreme Court announced that the group&#8217;s forces executed one person today (Tuesday, December 2nd) at the sports club in the center of Khost province The Taliban &#8220;executed&#8221; the individual, who was accused of the &#8220;premeditated murder&#8221; of a person named Abdul Rahman, a native resident of Khost province.
