He added that after negotiations, the two countries agreed to register the <em>rubab<\/em> jointly at Afghanistan\u2019s request.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>He stressed that \u201cIranian painting\u201d has already been registered with UNESCO and that \u201cthe Behzad school, with its form, features, and identity, cannot be registered without Iran\u2019s name.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Izadi said Afghanistan can add its name under the existing \u201cIranian painting\u201d file in UNESCO as one of the inheritors of the Herat school, stating that \u201cthis style also flourishes in Afghanistan.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>He noted that much of the region\u2019s cultural heritage has shared roots, and that Iran, Afghanistan, and Tajikistan emerged within a broad civilizational sphere.
